Did you know that we are an Arts Mark Organisation?

If you are looking to work with a heritage site in support of your Arts Mark Award please get in contact to see how we can work together. Or if you are not doing your Arts Mark award but would still like to bring your pupils to engage with the site and our stories – we host school visits between April to December from Monday to Wednesday.

Our main programme is still in development but, but once finalised will include sessions on how early medicine was used to treat disease and illness, early explorers and their discoveries and the early history of astrology.

We also have a FREE pilot session available for a school at the moment, which covers a range of cross-curricular subjects including History, English, Science and Drama.

Onsite pilots – please click on the links for further information

The site can also host a wide range of informal and home schooling learning opportunities, with well labelled trees and plants across the gardens and knowledgeable volunteers on site who can answer questions on 17th century gardens and the history of the house at Donington le Heath.

Please feel free to ask any questions.
