Whispering Walls: A Journey to the Past
Two performances- 11am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Join us for this immersive performance for family audiences and grown-ups.
On your journey through the quiet beauty of the 1620s Manor House, meet intriguing characters from 400 years ago, a time of scientific, political and religious turmoil. Hear their heartfelt stories and secrets – the famous and the less well known – and discover hidden clues to the life of the House.
Will Mistress Anna’s secret lead to her family’s downfall? Is Maria really a witch, as people say? Will Sir Kenelm Digby survive his family’s traitorous part in the Gunpowder plot? And what of the children who have left their traces within the sanctuary of Donnington’s walls?.. What stories might they have left behind for us today?…
A family version of our highly successful Project Enlightenment performances, originally created with local schools, and brought to you by professional theatre makers, award-winning Dragon Breath Theatre in association with Mashi Theatre
