The Fair Devil of Scotland

The Leeds Waits tell the tragic story of Mary Queen of Scots and her second husband Lord Darnley, parents of the future King James I. Following Mary’s troubled life in the Courts of Scotland and France and subsequent exile in England they will perform the Scottish, French, Italian and English music she would have known, placing it in context with narration and incidental puppetry.

Costumed performers will play the music of the period on instruments including the shawm, sackbut, bagpipes, recorder, harp, fiddle, hurdy-gurdy and tabor.

Adult £10.00   Concession £8.00   Child £6.00

Tickets are available on site during normal opening times or by calling 01455 290429 (7 days a week from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm).

A small Administration fee of £2 per transaction is made for our Telephone Bookings.
