The Lachrimae Consort return to perform an enchanting evening of early music celebrating the extraordinary life and music of John Dowland, the greatest lutenist and song-writer of the Elizabethan age in the barn.
His fascinating story is narrated by actor John Seeley and Dowland’s own words spoken by Richard Ollier. Dowland’s music and songs are performed by the Lachrimae Consort with instruments of the time
Timings
- Door open – 7.00 pm refreshments available
- Show starts – 7.30 pm
- Interval – 8.15 pm to 8.35 pm
- Show finishes – 9.15 pm
Tickets £8.00 per person – available form the Ticket Office on site when open (Thursday to Sunday plus Bank Holidays – 10.30 am to 4.00 pm) or by calling 01455 290429 (open 7 days a week from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm).
