Christmas School Sessions at 1620s House & Garden: 1st to 9th December 2016 (10.00 am to 2.30 pm)
Christmas was one of the greatest feasts of the year, a time of excess and enjoyment.
People would play cards and games and mummers would perform plays. These plays, performed mostly in rhyme, were taken round the houses and performed for money and food.
For our Christmas school session this year we will asking the school children to perform their own mummers play.
If you would like further information or to book a session please contact the Heritage Learning Officer – melissa.lewis@leics.gov.uk
