Bird Lover's Willow Workshops - Bird Feeder

Join us for this wonderfully creative workshop where you will make a beautiful willow bird feeder. You’ll learn an ancient craft in the tranquil setting of our cosy barn or, if the weather is nice, outside in our picturesque Gardens.

Faye of the Forest will guide you through this unique workshop where you will learn all about the properties of willow alongside gaining a new skill. You will create a beautiful willow garden ornament that will have all the birds tweeting with joy – perfect for nature lovers!

The Session runs from 9:30am – 11:30am.

This workshop is suitable for beginners.  All resources and materials are included. Age 14+ only.

    Discover how Christmas was celebrated in times gone by! The 1620s House & Garden will be beautifully dressed in Jacobean style decor. See how preparations were made to celebrate the full twelve days of Christmas by the Digby Family.

    Join in with festive carols and a mummers play, talk to costumed volunteers about food and feasting, Christmas customs, keeping warm in winter in the days before central heating and all the jobs that had to be done to ensure the holy season ran smoothly.

    What’s more, there’ll be festive crafts in the barn and a children’s trail to enjoy!

    Normal Admission plus £2. No need to pre-book, just come along on the day.
