Discover how Christmas was celebrated in times gone by as we bring you our popular Christmas Event in digital format this year.
Experience how the house would have been prepared for Christmas by a Jacobean family, from decorating to feasting and the clothing worn to keep the family warm.
We’ll also show you how to get hands on by making your own 17th Century decorations and traditional mince pies or ‘coffins’. And for the panto element, why not try your hand at acting in our copy of a traditional Mummers Play that would have been performed on the doorsteps of households across Leicestershire.
This event will be hosted live on 13th December from 11am and will also give you the chance to hear traditional festive lute music and join in with live festive carolling.
Celebrate all the joys of Christmas pastimes from the comfort of your own home. With crafts, plays and carolling, we’ve got something for all the family to enjoy!
Tickets are £5 per household and can be purchased HERE
