Old House, New House – Building and Belonging
WE NEED YOUR VOICE…!!!
Do you have a story to tell about the 1620’s House and Garden or the local area?
Do you like to create stories?
Do you like to bring history to life?
The 1620’s House and Garden will be working in collaboration with Andrew McWilliam and Chorus Theatre to create a series of original audio recordings using visitors to the site as collaborators and performers. This is your chance to be part of an exciting new community project.
Come and join us in our pop-up Sound Factory to create your stories and record your voice!
These recordings will be a mix of work including personal histories and stories, new stories inspired by the surroundings or tales of the heritage of the house and gardens.
All of the recordings will be edited and then made available for future listening.
These days will take place in September 14th, 21st, 28th September and during October Half Term 23rd – 26th October. Between 10:30am – 3:30pm.
The Sound Factory will then return to the 1620’s House and Garden during the half-term week before Hallowe’en, where we want to hear your spooky tales!
FREE activity during your visit but admission to the site applies. Click HERE for prices
