The day runs a repeat programme from around 11am- 1pm & then 1.30pm – 3.30pm.

Join us in this entertaining re telling of the story behind the Gunpowder Plot. Discover how the family that lived in the 1620s House were connected to it.  SPOILER! Their nephew, Sir Everard Digby, was hung, drawn, and quartered for his part in it!

See the story of the Plot unfold through a series of short scenarios through our house and grounds.

Learn about the properties of gunpowder with our re-enactors and see examples of a 17th century cannon and muskets being fired. BEWARE the bangs are loud. Ear Defenders are available for those with aural sensitivities.

Our younger visitors can get stuck into some themed craft activities, a fun trail, and help us to catch the dastardly Guy Fawkes.

£2 per person plus normal site admission. No need to pre-book, just pay on arrival
