Group visit and private tours terms and conditions
The terms and conditions apply from the date your booking is confirmed.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be received in writing at least ten working days before the confirmed visit. If cancellation notice is received within that time, then a cancellation charge of 50% of the total value of the booking (including the cost of food) will be applied.
If a cancellation is received within five working days, then a cancellation fee of 75% of the total value of the booking (including the cost of food) will be applied.
If a cancelled visit is rebooked at the time of cancellation, then an administration fee of 10% of total booking value will be charged.
Please ensure that you confirm the numbers in your group at least ten working days before your visit. Please note that there are number restrictions on some of the activities.
Payment
Groups can pay the total cost 10 days prior to arrival by card over telephone; you call us on 01455 290429. If you are unable to pay in advance, we can arrange for you to pay on the day, but this must be communicated and agreed in advance. If you are paying in advance the total cost can be paid by cash, card or cheque. We do not except American Express or bank transfer.
Group numbers
Please let’s us know of any number changes before date of booking. For a private group booking, our minimum number is 15 people, and max is 30 people (please note if your numbers are less than the minimum on the day, you will be charged to cover the minimum). On days open to public the minimum for group rate is 10 people and 20 people is the max capacity.
Itinerary
Please report the final numbers of your group to the member of staff who greets you on arrival at the site.
Your itinerary will start from the time of your arrival. Late arrival may result in your group losing some activities from the itinerary.
Please ensure that your group follows the instructions from a member of staff to allow all visitors to enjoy their experience at the 1620s House & Garden.
Catering
Refreshments required must be confirmed before date of visit.
Your refreshments requirements must be sent back to us at least 10 days prior to your visit unless afternoon tea has been arranged with the Catering Officer.
Payment for catering is separate from the entrance fee. This will need to be paid in full 10 days prior to your group visit. Unless agreed with booking team to pay on the day.
Housekeeping
No food or drink should be consumed in the House.
Please ensure that your group have suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for the time of year and activities undertaken.
